Industrial heritage

This was painted on location in an abandoned collapsing factory site in Springfield Ohio one fine summer day. I liked the composition well enough that I later painted a much larger version of the same scene, only I imagined it at night. I subsequently sold that version, yet feel that this one stands on its own, rather than being a mere study for the oil.
